Academic Summary

Academic programs at TASIS England have always been given the highest priority by both the School's dedicated teachers and the administration. In the Lower and Middle Schools, the Core Knowledge Sequence provides the foundation for the curriculum, which ensures that all students in these sections learn a coherent and unified body of knowledge and academic skills.

Upper School students follow a challenging college-preparatory curriculum, with the option of pursuing the International Baccalaureate Diploma or Advanced Placement courses in many subjects. Students for whom English is an additional language receive outstanding support through a dedicated International Section with a full range of English and academic courses.

All TASIS England students receive individual academic advice and help, and our older students receive extensive college (university) counseling throughout the four years of Upper School.

The School promotes participation in its comprehensive programs of arts, athletics, activities, and service leadership. Our students develop the ability and confidence to flourish as part of our vibrant community of principled, open-minded, and compassionate individuals.

English Language Support

Our main goal is for all students to be happy, make friends, and socially interact well. Therefore, to be able to offer the best level of support, all multilingual students are offered the WIDA Screener assessment to determine their English language proficiency. Based on these results, students who are English Language Learners (ELLs) are offered different levels of EAL support.

Students for whom English is an additional language receive outstanding support through a dedicated International Section with a full range of English and academic courses.

Extra-Curricular Activities

TASIS England offers a broad co-curricular programme designed to encourage students to explore interests beyond the classroom through sport, creative activities, and specialist clubs. Middle School students can choose from team sports such as basketball, volleyball, soccer, swimming, tennis, lacrosse, and cross country, alongside activities including art club, chess, drama, film, jazz, STEAM, gardening, and yearbook. Programmes run on a trimester basis, allowing students to try different options throughout the year, with additional opportunities including school productions, field trips, and subject-related travel..

Pastoral Care

Our Health and Well-being Center is staffed by fully qualified nurses who are on hand throughout the day and can be contacted at any time in an emergency. The nurses also work closely with the TASIS England Counselors to ensure that they have a holistic view of any health concerns.

Upon enrolment at TASIS England and prior to the beginning of each new school year, we require that confidential health documents are completed for all of our registered students. Obtaining this thorough overview of their general health, any pre-existing conditions, and required medications enables our Health and Well-being Center to provide efficient and comprehensive care whenever needed.
